On May 5, 2025, Sonplas had the pleasure of welcoming a visiting delegation from Zhangpu Town, Kunshan City, led by Party Secretary Mr. Wang Chao. The guests were warmly received by CEO Christian Wachtmeister and CEO Michael Frankl. The delegation was also invited to taste authentic Bavarian specialties, experience German food culture, and visit the Sonplas factory. Straubing’s Mayor Markus Pannermayr also attended the meeting in person and warmly welcomed the guests on behalf of the city.

During the meeting, Christian Wachtmeister, CEO of Sonplas, gave an overview of the company’s development history, core technological strengths, and global market presence. Secretary Wang Chao introduced Zhangpu Town’s industrial foundation and geographical advantages, with a special focus on the planning and development of the Kunshan German Industrial Park. He emphasized that Zhangpu places great importance on fostering exchange and cooperation with leading German manufacturing enterprises and welcomes more companies to explore opportunities in Zhangpu.

The visit served as a strong platform for communication, fostering mutual understanding and building trust between both sides. They held friendly discussions on topics such as enterprise development and industrial park planning, and expressed a shared vision for potential future cooperation.
