Energy management certified in accordance with ISO 50001
At Sonplas GmbH, we have placed a strong focus on energy efficiency and sustainability since the company was founded. Even during the construction of our first facility, our shareholders ensured highly efficient and sustainable operations – for example, by implementing state-of-the-art building technology.
Key elements of our energy management system:
- In-house power generation: Photovoltaic systems installed across all three plants cover a significant share of our energy demand at our Straubing location.
- E-mobility infrastructure: 29 charging stations are available for our employees’ electric vehicles.
- Sustainable fleet: 50% of our vehicle fleet has already been converted to electric vehicles – with the share continuing to grow.
- Comprehensive heat recovery: We consistently reuse generated heat, maximizing the efficiency of our energy systems.
- Continuous improvement: Our ISO 50001-certified energy management system supports the ongoing optimization of our processes and helps us contribute to a sustainable future.
Environmental management certified in accordance with ISO 14001
Any activity that has a direct or indirect impact on the environment is relevant to us. The following aspects are of particular importance:
- Waste: Especially in our in-house manufacturing, research & development, as well as in packaging and shipping, comparatively high volumes of waste are generated. Hazardous waste, in particular, is highly relevant from an environmental perspective. Our goal is to monitor its generation and implement measures to reduce it.
- Resource consumption: In addition to reducing waste, we aim to optimize our use of resources. Key factors include energy consumption, material usage and the reduction of emissions.
Quality management certified in accordance with ISO 9001
As an innovative company, our primary objective is to deliver high-quality products to our customers. Our ISO 9001-certified quality management system has provided the foundation for reliable special-purpose machines and robust processes for over 19 years.
Information security certified in accordance with TISAX ®
As a partner to our customers, particularly in the automotive and technology sectors, information security is a top priority at Sonplas.
With our TISAX ® certification, we meet the defined requirements for protecting sensitive information and ensure the security of data, development projects and all confidential information entrusted to us.
