To enable precise and controlled processing of sensitive medical components, Sonplas offers a range of innovative technologies – including hydroerosive machining (HERO) and laser cutting. These methods ensure the reliable production of functional, particle-free components – for example, in dosing systems, filtration applications, or microfluidic assemblies.

The HERO process is used to deburr, round, or precisely calibrate the flow characteristics of internal geometries. A fluid containing abrasive particles is directed through the part under pressure – ideal for components such as dosing units in liquid handling or valve elements. This process can be flexibly adapted to various materials and meets high standards for surface quality and cleanliness.

Our portfolio is complemented by state-of-the-art laser cutting technologies, such as roll-to-roll and roll-to-sheet processing – particularly suitable for thin materials like filter membranes or flexible electronic substrates.
