How much time should I plan for the development of my system? And at what stage does it make sense to involve Sonplas?
The development timeline depends on the complexity and level of customization, but typically ranges from several weeks to several months. It is best to involve us early – ideally during the concept phase. Our in-house research and development department can support you from the very beginning in defining test strategies, automation solutions, and system concepts tailored to your product requirements and innovation goals.
What does it actually mean that Sonplas test systems are customer-specific – how customized are they really?
We do not develop standard products, but fully customized special-purpose machines. Our test systems are precisely tailored to your components, your testing requirements, and your specific spatial and process conditions.
We already have test systems in operation. Can existing systems be retrofitted or optimized?
Yes. We also support you in optimizing existing lines or test systems. Together, we identify automation potential, improve existing testing procedures, and increase efficiency and process reliability.
What happens if regulatory requirements or test specifications change – do I need to reinvest?
Not necessarily. We continuously monitor regulatory and technological developments and offer targeted retrofits or updates. This ensures your systems remain permanently compliant with standards and technically up to date without the need for a complete replacement.
We already have established processes and IT systems. How can a Sonplas system be seamlessly integrated into our existing environment?
Our systems are modular in design and can be flexibly integrated into existing production and IT environments. Thanks to open interfaces, standardized protocols such as OPC UA and adaptable software concepts, integration is seamless and does not disrupt your ongoing processes. Together with your team, we align all interfaces precisely with your environment.
What happens after commissioning? Do I receive worldwide support if issues occur?
Yes. Our technical service continues to support you reliably after commissioning with fast response times and tailored support models, from remote service to on-site support. Regular maintenance, inspections, and a reliable spare parts supply ensure maximum system availability. With our own teams and partners across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, we provide worldwide support and are quickly on site when needed.
How do we ensure that our personnel can operate the system safely and efficiently?
We provide hands-on training and instruction directly on the system, ensuring your team can operate it safely and efficiently from day one. If required, we also support production ramp-ups and offer advanced training in engineering, production, and R&D.
We do not yet have a clear idea of what the future assembly or testing process will look like – can you support us in defining it?
Yes. This is exactly where we come in. Our research and development department supports you from the early concept phase and helps structure and develop your processes. From initial ideas, functional samples, or prototypes, we jointly develop robust assembly and testing concepts tailored to your products and future series requirements. You benefit from our experience across a wide range of industries and projects. We consider not only the technical aspects but also the economic perspective – always aiming to deliver the best solution for you.
Our products are constantly evolving – does a special-purpose machine from Sonplas still make sense?
Yes. Our systems are modular and can be adapted to new product variants through retrofit or expansion options. This allows you to remain flexible in the face of design or functional changes and ensures long-term usability of your system.
