Visiting the hydrogen test center

Together with Cluster Mobility & Logistics, several company representatives from the network
visited us last Thursday at our headquarter in Straubing. Before the tour through the production
halls and the research and development department started, managing director Herbert Frankl
personally welcomed our visitors and introduced them to the fields of activity of Sonplas GmbH
in more detail. Werner Riederer then presented the Sonplas Hydrogen Test Center, which of
course could be visited afterwards.

With the test center, Sonplas is preparing for the mobility of the future. This is because precise
unctional tests on hydrogen-carrying components are necessary to ensure that a hydrogen drive
system is ready for series production for all vehicles. On the hydrogen test bench specially developed
by Sonplas in its in-house test center, customers have the opportunity to test the function and service
life of hydrogen-carrying components used in fuel cells and in the H2 combustion engine.

The successful day was concluded with an entertaining get-together where our visitors had
the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences.
